– É como o professor Fabio diz: buscamos uma equipe bem trabalhada, compacta, desde lá de trás, pressão alta, baixa e média. Tudo que a gente fez na semana fluiu hoje (quarta-feira), e creio que a cara do Corinthians esse ano e a impressão que vamos deixar para a torcida é de uma equipe encaixada e bem compacta – disse o meia Marlone, um dos destaques na estreia com um golaço marcado aos 45 minutos do primeiro tempo.

Carille iniciou os trabalhos com bola logo no terceiro dia da pré-temporada do Corinthians, ainda no CT Joaquim Grava. Ele definiu o time que deveria atuar no primeiro treino técnico e mudou apenas uma peça de lá para cá – Giovanni Augusto por Romero. Nesta quarta-feira, escalou o time no 4-1-4-1, mudou 100% das peças de um tempo para outro e viu a equipe marcar dois gols em cada etapa, com Camacho e Marlone na primeira e Kazim e Marquinhos Gabriel na segunda.

Kazim, aliás, foi uma das surpresas da noite, com um gol e uma assistência anotados em Orlando. Uma das críticas que o Corinthians de 2017 tem recebido é justamente sobre o nível técnico dos reforços. Além de Kazim, foram contratados Jô, Luidy, Gabriel, Paulo Roberto e o zagueiro Pablo, que não foi regularizado a tempo da Florida Cup. O desafio de Carille é superar as desconfianças.

– Eu tenho passado para os ateltas para a gente se fechar e trabalhar, trabalhar bastante para melhorar. Tenho certeza de que, com o trabalho bem alinhado e a dedicação dos jogadores, aos poucos vai mudar essa opinião. É um grupo focado, está muito bom de trabalhar. É um início, mas já dá para perceber algumas coisas – diz o técnico.

Agora, o Corinthians se prepara para a possibilidade de já erguer uma taça na temporada. No próximo sábado, às 21h, a equipe volta aoBright House Networks Stadium para a final da Florida Cup. O adversário pode ser o River Plate (ARG) ou então o rival São Paulo, do técnico estreante Rogério Ceni.

وتحدث سيلفا عن المباراة في المؤتمر الصحفي، وقال: “الإجابة الصادقة هي أننا لا نعرف بماذا نتوقع، لا نعرف ما إذا كان أتلتيكو مدريد سيضغط أم لا، لا نعرف أسلوبهم أثناء المباراة لكنها ستكون مباراة صعبة للغاية”.

وأضاف: “لن تكون مباراة مفتوحة لأننا ندرك جيدًا مدى قوة أتلتيكو مدريد، التفاصيل الصغيرة هي من تحسم هذه المباريات الصعبة، نتوقع منافسًا شرسًا على المستوى الدفاعي والهجمات المرتدة”.

وتابع: “يمتلك أتلتيكو مدريد أسلوب لعب مشابه لبعض الفرق في الدوري الإنجليزي لكنه يضم لاعبين من الأفضل في العالم، لذا لا يمكن مقارنته بهم، إذا نظرت إلى أفضل الفرق في الدوري الإنجليزي فهم لا يلعبون بنفس أسلوبهم، فهم فريق منظم ولدى مدربهم أفكار واضحة، هذا ما فعلوه أمام مانشستر يونايتد وليفربول قبل عامين”.

The Eagles are continuing their hunt for a new boss in the wake of Roy Hodgson’s departure from the club.

La Liga expert Euan McTear believes that Yangel Herrera is certain to leave Manchester City this summer amid links with West Ham United.

Herrera is still on the books at City but has spent the past two seasons on loan at Granada in La Liga.

In total, he has made 82 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and registering five assists.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive season with the Spanish club this term, as they qualified for the Europa League and enjoyed a run to the quarter-finals, where they were ultimately beaten by Manchester United. He has subsequently been linked with West Ham United.

McTear has been impressed with the form of the Venezuela international and believes he is an old-school midfielder who consistently looks to get on the ball and move it forward, while also trying to hit the back of the net himself.

Herrera is a versatile presence and he can play as a defensive midfielder, a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder or even as a centre-back.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, McTear said: “Yeah, so he’s been at Granada for more than a couple seasons now in a row, he’s been key to their qualification for Europa League and then the run to the quarter-finals.

“He’s like a classic box-to-box midfielder, a bit of a throwback in that way, his first instinct is to try and dribble, to pass it forward, charging forward he took so many shots this season, he would get in the box, he scored quite a few goals early on when they were lacking strikers and attacking midfielders and that’s the thing too, he’s been really versatile.

“Granada this season had more injuries than anybody else in La Liga because they have a small squad and they were playing in Europa League from the first qualifying round all the way to the quarterfinals. So their squad was knackered. They had COVID outbreaks and everything. So Herrera was one of the few players who was hardly injured.

“So he was kind of asked to fill in, defensive midfield, attacking midfield, even as a sort of second striker at points. So never out wide always down the middle, but one of those positions right down the spine, and he was really good. He’ll leave them for sure and who knows where he goes?”
