Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has revealed that striker Lys Mousset is still not ready to play a full 90 minutes (via @mikemccarthy).

He made the admission in his pre-match press conference ahead of their upcoming Premier League fixture against Burnley.

Mousset has been grabbing the headlines for the Blades in recent weeks with his goals.

The Frenchman made his first Premier League start for the South Yorkshire club against Arsenal, scoring what was ultimately the winning goal in the first half before being substituted after 55 minutes (TransferMarkt).

Despite his match-winning goal against the Gunners, he was subsequently dropped from the starting 11 in their next game against West Ham, with Wilder admitting that the club still need to work on the ex-Bournemouth striker’s physical condition (via BBC Sport).

He did come on as a substitute at the London Stadium and once again made a significant contribution, netting the equalising goal for the Blades (via BBC Sport).

When asked whether Mousset is ready to play for 90 minutes ahead of their game against Burnley, Wilder said: “Possibly a little bit off. But when you look at our forwards, not many of them play 90 minutes. We’ve got a group of forwards that we can change.” (via @FFScout)

There is no doubt that in his limited appearances so far, Mousset has made a massive impact for Sheffield United.

He has scored three league goals despite playing for just 198 minutes in the division (TransferMarkt), making him the Blades’ leading goalscorer (BBC Sport).

It also means that he has scored exactly one third of their goals in the Premier League so far as they have netted just nine times (BBC Sport), and with stats like that it is surely only a matter of time before he becomes a regular starter.

As Wilder said, they do have a lot of strikers, with Oliver McBurnie, Billy Sharp, David McGoldrick, Callum Robinson and Leon Clarke also at the club.

Even if Mousset isn’t ready for 90 minutes just yet, they do have the option of starting him and then bringing him off for one of their other forwards when he runs out of gas.

أفادت تقارير صحفية إسبانية، أن نادي بوروسيا دورتموند حدد سعر بيع الدولي النرويجي إيرلينج هالاند خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية المقبلة.

West Brom’s biggest fears have been elevated ahead of the January transfer window as reports have emerged claiming that West Ham are seriously considering the thought of recalling enigmatic star Grady Diangana.

Football Insider suggests that Manuel Pellegrini has been keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old’s progress at the Hawthorns, so much so that they now regard the winger as a ‘genuine’ option given that the Hammers have struggled to find the net this season.

The Premier League outfit have scored just 12 goals in ten matches while their young loanee has netted four goals while providing three assists for the Baggies.

West Ham are potentially playing with Diangana’s career if they pull the plug on his loan deal as the prospect is gaining valuable game time each week under Slaven Bilic.

Even if Pellegrini sees him as a possible solution to their goalscoring woes, is he really going to break into the starting XI? Probably not.

That’s even if he has hyped him up to be similar to ‘Santi Cazorla,’ someone he managed at Villarreal once upon a time.

At the Hammers, Diangana would presumably be simply needed to make an impact off the bench, considering they have Felipe Anderson (£35m), Andriy Yarmolenko (£17.5m), and summer signing Pablo Fornals (£24m) ahead of him in the pecking order.

Therefore, the decision will only stall the amount of competitive game time he receives, and as a consequence, his development will also be halted.

Bilic is the perfect man to breed him in preparation for the future too.

The Croatian was the man to bring Declan Rice to light at the London Stadium, handing him his professional debut aged just 18 in 2017.

Look at how far he has come as he is now regularly linked with moves to Manchester United.

In addition to that, you only have to look at how the club has developed its own over the last few years. Case in point being both Kyle Edwards and Nathan Ferguson, who have broken into the first-team this season making over 12 appearances each in the Championship, per WhoScored.

The defender’s performances this season has attracted interest from some European giants in Atletico Madrid and Juventus as well as Tottenham Hotspur.

Diangana should be looked at in the summer by the Hammers’ management staff as then he can be fully integrated amongst the first-team setup, even more so after a fruitful season at Albion, which hopefully results in them gaining promotion to the top-flight.

For now, it’s better for all parties if he remains in the Midlands.

Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Mirror (November 6, page 7 of pull-out) reported that Chris Coleman is on the Saints’ radar as a potential candidate to replace Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The former Wales and Sunderland manager has been out of a job since he was sacked by Chinese side Hebei China Fortune back in May, after just 11 months at the helm – the club’s supporters made banners calling for the 49-year-old to leave, after Hebei China Fortune had won just once in nine games before Coleman’s exit.

The pressure has been mounting on Southampton boss Hasenhuttl following the 9-0 defeat to Leicester at St Mary’s, and the south coast side are currently languishing in 18th place in the Premier League with just two wins in 11 games.

However, it doesn’t seem as if Coleman would be a popular appointment given the Southampton fans’ reactions to the news.

One supporter said that they wouldn’t set foot inside St Mary’s if Coleman replaced Hasenhuttl, whereas another said that they would “give up their season ticket” if the former Crystal Palace defender arrived on the south coast.

Did he do enough?

A lot of the talk going into the game was going to be about who would replace Blues captain Harlee Dean following his red card against Cardiff City in the previous week and the job fell to Jake Clarke-Salter.

The Chelsea loanee has found game time hard to come by so far this season, only making one appearance in the league, away to Wigan Athletic (via Transfermarkt).

If you take a look at his numbers, you’ll see that he did a relatively OK job. He certainly could have done better, particularly when it came to the aerial duels given that he is a central defender, but overall he didn’t disgrace himself, winning three duels in total.

There are also some things that you can’t necessarily put down as a number, most notably in the last couple of minutes when he chased down Aleksandar Mitrovic down the right flank and managed to stop the Fulham forward.

He also managed to do enough to put Aboubakar Kamara off when he was one-on-one with Lee Camp in the dying seconds of the match, forcing him to hurry his shot rather than be able to take it around the onrushing stopper.

It showed his work rate and a battling ability to compete, more than making up for the loss of Dean.

With the captain set to be out for another two games once the international break is over, he has certainly earned himself the right to hold down that starting position as the interim defender.

It’s going to be hard for him to dislodge someone like Dean when he comes back in the starting line-up given that he’s the skipper, but that shouldn’t be a barrier for him making the first team on the whole. After all, this was a small statement made to his manager that he has what it takes if given the chance to actually perform.

As we suggested last week at FFC, lining up with three at the back could be a way for the Blues going forward, and even with Dean being brought back into the fold he could still find his way in alongside him and one of the other established centre-backs.

Manchester United fans have hailed Nani on his birthday.

The former Red Devils ace turned 33 on Sunday and supporters rushed to lavish praise on the Portugal international after the club’s official account wished him many happy returns.

Of course, Nani currently plays in MLS with Orlando City, moving to the club in February of this year.

He is best known for his time at Old Trafford, though, where he made a total of 230 appearances in all competitions.

The winger, who played alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning four Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and two League Cups.

He scored 40 goals during his time in Manchester and also registered 73 assists.

And fans have expressed their admiration for the former United ace, who played for the club between 2007 and 2015; he spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Sporting Lisbon before a permanent move to Fenerbahce.

أكد أندريا بيرلو، المدير الفني لفريق يوفنتوس الإيطالي، أنه ليس لديه أي خطط للتقدم باستقالته وترك منصبه، متحدثًا بعد الهزيمة أمام ميلان بثلاثية دون رد.

وتغلب ميلان على يوفنتوس بثلاثة أهداف نظيفة في منافسات الدوري الإيطالي، مساء الأحد.

وبعد تسعة مواسم متتالية توج فيها بطلًا للدوري الإيطالي، يتصارع يوفنتوس الآن على حجز مقعد في المراكز الأربعة الأولى للتأهل لدوري أبطال أوروبا.

وأوضح: “إذا لم يسر كل شيء على ما يرام، فأنا أتحمل المسؤولية، هذا الفريق مكون من لاعبين رائعين، من الواضح أن شيئًا ما لم ينجح”.

واستطرد: “قلت أمس إن الفريق بدا جيدًا خلال الأسبوع، لقد تدربنا بالعقلية الصحيحة والتركيز، كان الفريق على قيد الحياة ومقتنعًا بأنه يمكن أن يقدم أداءً رائعًا”.

تم استجواب المدرب بشأن النقص المفاجئ في رد فعل لاعبي يوفنتوس كلما حدث خطأ ما، وعلّق: “لقد تحدثنا عن الأمر كثيرًا، لأن هذا النوع من الأشياء حدث عدة مرات هذا الموسم، طلبت من اللاعبين سحب شيء من شجاعتهم لتكريم القميص وإظهار الفخر، لأننا جزء من نادٍ مجيد، وهذه العروض لا يمكن أن تحدث”.

وعن شعوره بالضغط بسبب دوري السوبر الأوروبي والعديد من القضايا الأخرى، أفاد بيرلو: “منحني النادي حرية كبيرة للقيام بعملي ولم نتأثر أبدًا بالأشياء التي تحدث خارج الملعب، إذا لم نبلي بلاءً حسنًا على أرض الملعب، فهذا كان خطأنا وخطأي تمامًا، لأنني على رأس هذا الفريق”.

واستكمل حديثه: “لقد تدربنا جيدًا، لكن في بعض الأحيان لا يحقق بعض اللاعبين 100 في المائة في أدائهم، عندما يكون لديك لاعبان أو ثلاثة يواجهون صعوبة في هذا النوع من المباريات، فإن ذلك يؤدي إلى انخفاض أداء الفريق بالكامل”.

وأتم بيرلو: “لقد كان الفتيان يتابعونني دائمًا، خلال اللحظات الجيدة والسيئة، لذلك ليس لدي أي شيء لأوبخهم عليه بهذا المعنى”.
