Jordan Cox and Emma Lamb have been named PCA Players of the Year, capping stellar summers in which both players earned England recalls after consistent seasons in domestic cricket.Cox missed out on a Test debut for England last November due to an ill-timed injury and was left out of their white-ball squads at the start of the summer. Rehan Ahmed was named men’s Young Player of the Year after scoring five centuries for Leicestershire as they won promotion in the County Championship, while he also impressed for Trent Rockets in the Hundred. Davina Perrin, who scored a stunning 42-ball century in the Hundred’s eliminator, won the women’s award, having also impressed for Birmingham Bears.”I was a bit shocked to be honest,” Perrin said. “There’s been some great performances from young players, especially Ailsa [Lister] and Ella [McCaughan] who have had unbelievable seasons… The biggest thing for me is that I’m maximising my potential and hopefully the England honours will come.”Rehan said that the award “topped off a great season” for him. “My red-ball season was great,” he said. “I want to be a regular in the England [Test] team – it’s more important to me than the white-ball stuff – so being given the opportunity to perform and then repaying the coaches with my form for Leicestershire has been great.”The Outstanding Contribution Award went to Graham Gooch, for his “incredible support of the game” including his donations to the Cricketers’ Trust, while Adil Rashid and Nat Sciver-Brunt won Rado Recognition Awards for their England careers. Simons has received heavy criticism for making a slow start to life at Tottenham, with Jamie O’Hara left particularly scathing after the defeat against Fulham, but he clearly has the full support of teammate Van de Ven, who singled the attacking midfielder out for high praise after Brentford.

Simons needs to build on his Brentford performance

Frank will no doubt be delighted the Netherlands international appears to be finding his feet, receiving a SofaScore match rating of 9.5 after registering a goal and an assist against Keith Andrews’ side.

Having finally shown what he can produce, the 22-year-old needs to build on that performance, starting on Tuesday against Slavia Prague, with Spurs set to host the Czech side in their sixth Champions League game.

I think the captain and coach always backed me in that. I practised really hard on this because it’s not easy to come to Australia and beat them in white-ball cricket as well. So I wanted to play the same brand of cricket because we have been following that since before the Asia Cup.”

وواصل: “لن نقدم استقالة جماعية ولو رأينا الشخص القادر على حل جميع الأزمات المالية سنتقم باستقالة جماعية ونسلمه زمام الأمور، ولكن هل نترك الزمالك في الوقت الحالي للغرق؟”.

واختتم تصريحاته قائلا: “نتواصل مع وزير الشباب والرياضة وكافة الجهات لبحث دعم نادي الزمالك ماديا لحل الأزمات التي نعاني منها”.

تحدث مهاجم نادي إيفرتون وفولهام السابق، عن مستقبل محمد صلاح، نجم ليفربول، حيث استقر على أحد اللاعبين ليكون بديلًا للدولي المصري خلال السنوات المقبلة.

محمد صلاح دخل في مشاكل عديدة مع ليفربول، وذلك بعدما جلس اللاعب على مقاعد البدلاء في ثلاث مباريات متتالية في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

ولم يستطع محمد صلاح الصمت جراء تواجده كبديل، حيث صرح لوسائل الإعلام عقب نهاية مباراة ليفربول وليدز يونايتد يوم السبت الماضي بالدوري الإنجليزي أن علاقته انتهت مع المدرب آرني سلوت.

وأشار محمد صلاح كذلك أن إدارة ليفربول قدمت له وعود عديدة الصيف الماضي، لكنها لم تنفذها.

واستبعد محمد صلاح بعد ذلك من مباراة ليفربول وإنتر ميلان والتي لعبت يوم الثلاثاء الماضي بدوري أبطال أوروبا، وذلك كإجراء تأديبي.

وارتبط محمد صلاح بمغادرة ليفربول خلال الفترة المقبلة، مع وجود شائعات حول رغبة الأندية السعودية والأمريكية في ضم اللاعب البالغ من العمر 33 عامًا.

ويرى توماش رادزينسكي، مهاجم إيفرتون السابق، أن جناح فولهام، هاري ويلسون، قد يكون البديل الأمثل لمحمد صلاح في ليفربول خلال السنوات المقبلة.

ويلسون يعتبر من بين أبناء نادي ليفربول، لكنه رحل بعد ذلك ليوقع مع فولهام عام 2021 مقابل 14 مليون يورو.

ويقدم ويلسون مستوى جيدًا مع فولهام هذا الموسم، حيث سجل أربعة أهداف وقدم تمريرة واحدة حاسمة خلال 16 مشاركة.

وقال رادزينسكي في تصريحات نقلها موقع ”Triballfootball”: ”الوضع في ليفربول غريب بعض الشيء، لذا يصعب الحكم عليه من الخارج، لا نعلم ما يجري في ملعب التدريب، أعتقد أن لديهم عددًا كافيًا من اللاعبين وفي رأيي، أبرموا صفقات رائعة في الصيف”.

وأوضح: “لماذا لا ينضم هاري ويلسون إلى ليفربول؟ إذا كان قادرًا على تقديم هذا الأداء المميز مع فولهام، قبل أن يصبح محمد صلاح أحد أعظم لاعبي الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، اضطر للانتقال إلى عدة أندية أخرى”.

Manchester United have now reportedly made contact to sign 18-year-old Salvador Blopa from Sporting CP in an attempt to jump ahead of Real Madrid in the race for his signature.

Those at Old Trafford have kept an eye on the transfer market ever since the summer window slammed shut and with things looking up on the pitch, they could be well-placed to welcome a number of upgrades in 2026.

Ruben Amorim’s side entered the November international break without a defeat in five games, having drawn twice and won three to move up to seventh in the Premier League.

Whilst their wait for five wins in a row is ongoing, there’s no doubt that the Red Devils have taken a significant step. Whether that continues after the international break is the big question.

Man United will play host to Everton in what should be seen as a winnable game at Old Trafford against former manager David Moyes. They then face struggling sides West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in two of their next five games in a run that should see them push on even further.

Amorim’s not getting ahead of himself, however. After rescuing a late draw against Tottenham last time out, he told reporters that his side still have plenty of problems to solve.

It’s a sign of the high standards that the Man United boss holds and INEOS could yet help him to meet those standards by turning to the transfer market once again in 2026.

As relayed by TeamTalk, Man United have now ‘held conversations’ to sign Blopa from Sporting CP and jump ahead of Real Madrid in the transfer race in the process. The 18-year-old can play right midfield, right-back and left midfield as one of the most versatile players that Sporting have to offer.

Out of all those positions, he’d likely solve Amorim’s right wing-back problem. As things stand, it’s Amad Diallo or Noussair Mazraoui in the role, but Blopa’s emergence could quickly cause United a much-welcomed selection headache down that side.
