أوضح أحمد سالم المتحدث الرسمي لنادي الزمالك، حقيقة رفض إدارة القلعة البيضاء المشاركة في كأس مصر الموسم الحالي 2023-2024.
وكان اتحاد الكرة أعلن عن مواعيد مباريات دور الـ 16 من بطولة كأس مصر، في الفترة من 8 أغسطس حتى 21 من الشهر ذاته.
ومن المقرر أن يلعب الزمالك أمام طلائع الجيش، في منافسات دور الـ 16، يوم الأربعاء، 21 أغسطس الجاري.
وكان البرتغالي جوزيه جوميز المدير الفني للزمالك انتقد في تصريحات له مواعيد مباريات كأس مصر، بسبب عدم حصول اللاعبين على وقت راحة بعد انتهاء بطولة الدوري المصري.

وقال سالم خلال تصريحات عبر برنامج “الكورة مع فايق” المذاع على قناة “إم بي سي مصر”: “الزمالك لم يرفض المشاركة، ما تردد شائعات، الزمالك تحفظ واعترض بشدة على المواعيد فقط”.
وأضاف: “هناك خيارات كثيرة مطروحة سواء المشاركة بفريق من الشباب أو عدم المشاركة، لأن اللاعبين الكبار حصلوا على إجازة، وخلال ساعات سنعلن عن الموقف الرسمي”.
وأكمل: “جوميز مستاء جدًا من ضغط المباريات لأن هذا شيء غريب جدًا لا يحدث في أي مكان في العالم، نحن لدينا تحفظ على المواعيد، لكن لو في إصرار على المواعيد المجلس سيدرس كل الخيارات المطروحة، لكن لا يوجد رفض حاسم أو موافقة حاسمة حتى الآن”.

What the club needs is another generational signing, like their purchase of Eden Hazard from Ligue 1 back in 2012. As it just so happens, the club have recently been linked to an incredibly exciting and dynamic winger from France, Rayan Cherki.

According to French publication FootMercato (via SportWitness), 'the door is not closed' on Chelsea's summer transfer target Rayan Cherki for a move in the new year.
Lyon were not keen on selling the youngster in the summer, but with his contract set to run out in summer 2025 and his supposed unwillingness to sign an extension given the club's woeful form that sees them prop up the bottom of the table, selling him in the new year is the only way for the club not to lose too much value in the player.
The publication has reported that a fee in the region of €20m – about £17m – could be enough, which could be a real bargain for a player with his potential.
Described as a "generational talent" by French journalist Andres Onrubia Ramos, if Chelsea want to get back to dominating England and Europe, they could do a lot worse than investing in someone who could well be the next Hazard.

The primary similarities between the two players are fairly straightforward.
Both Hazard and Cherki cut their teeth at storied clubs in Ligue 1, LOSC Lille in the former's case and Lyon in the latter's. Both players would be highly rated youngsters making their way from France to west London – should the move happen – and finally, both players have spent time as attacking midfielders but thrive out on the left.
When you take a look at Cherki's underlying numbers, his incredible talent becomes even more apparent.

According to FBref, which compares players across Europe's top five leagues and European competitions, the "magnificent talent", as described by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, ranks in the top 6% of players in his position for progressive passes, the top 7% for successful take-ons, the top 8% for touches in the oppositions penalty area, the top 9% for shot-creating actions, and the top 10% for progressive carries, all per 90 over the last 365 days.
Moreover, when you compare his performances last season to Raheem Sterling's, the argument for signing the young Frenchman practically makes itself.

These statistics show that the young whiz is similar to Hazard, who averaged 2.2 key passes and 3.2 dribbles per game across his career, in that they both love to beat players with the ball at their feet whilst also being able to create and score goals from out wide at an impressive rate.
In practically every meaningful attacking statistic last season, the Lyon youngster thoroughly outclassed his potential new teammate, and if he could do that at his young age, what could he do in a better team with a coach like Pochettino, who is renowned for his work with younger players.
If the reports are correct and Chelsea can sign Cherki for just £17m, then it seems like a deal far too good to pass up, as if they don't sign him, a rival surely will.

An "unbelievable" Liverpool player could seal a move away from the club in the January transfer window, according to an update from reliable journalist Gregg Evans.

There is so much to admire about Jurgen Klopp's side at the moment, who aren't necessarily performing at their highest level, but still find themselves top of the Premier League after battling their way to numerous late wins.
The signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch have made a world of difference in midfield, while Klopp looks reborn after cutting a dejected figure during a dispiriting 2022/23 season. While there are so many important players at the club right now, whether it be Alisson, Virgil van Dijk or Mohamed Salah, to name just a few, there is always the risk that individuals could move on at some point.
Joel Matip and Thiago are both out of contract at Liverpool at the end of this season, for example, and it remains to be seen if either will end up signing extensions at the club. The same applies to Adrian, although he is clearly a more expendable figure, considering he is the Reds' third-choice goalkeeper.
Other fringe players and loanees could also look for new challenges in the coming months, and an important update has dropped regarding one such individual.
Fabio Carvalho could be set new loan move
According to Evans on X, Liverpool are now thought to be "considering a new loan for Fabio Carvalho", such has been his lack of impact at RB Leipzig so far this season.

The 21-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements by Klopp during the summer, so a temporary switch to the Bundesliga side came to fruition.
In Evans' report for The Athletic, he goes into more detail, explaining that a number of clubs are interested in the Liverpool man, should he return to Anfield next month:
"Liverpool are in discussions with Fabio Carvalho over his future after an unsuccessful loan spell at RB Leipzig. The 21-year-old could be recalled early and then sent on another loan in January with a number of clubs already showing an interest. Carvalho is unlikely to be reintegrated into the Liverpool first team this season, though."
Bringing an end to Carvalho's time at Leipzig seemingly makes complete sense for all parties, with the youngster growing stagnant there, starting just one Bundesliga match this season. That isn't helping his development at all, so it would be far wiser for Liverpool to end his loan spell prematurely, before allowing him to move elsewhere in January, to a club who are genuinely willing to offer him regular playing time.

Carvalho's career in the short term is in danger of petering out a little if he isn't careful, so he could do with settling at another club for the second half of the season and get things back on track, rather than being an exciting young talent who falls by the wayside.
He is still someone who Klopp himself has hailed as "unbelievable" in the past, however, so a strong loan spell elsewhere could reinvigorate him.

A number of top clubs "won't leave" the 22-year-old alone, seeing him as a big player for the future, and the Red Devils appear to be at the front of the queue to snap him up, with the report describing them as "above all".
Bayern Munich do have an option to buy him back, however, having sold him to Bologna, although it remains to be seen if they will trigger that clause. His current club are not keen on entertaining the idea of a January exit, however, so unless United can sway their thinking with a big offer, they may potentially have to wait until next summer.
Zirkzee could be a brilliant addition for Ten Hag if the club can strike a deal for his signature, whether that be next month or at the end of the season, with the youngster a player of enormous potential. He has scored seven goals and registered two assists in 16 Serie A starts this season, while Bologna boss Thiago Motta has heaped praise on him in the past, saying:
"It was an excellent goal from a player with extraordinary qualities. He scored a similar goal in training. Joshua is very talented, but I want to emphasize that he also works very hard for it."
Hojlund isn't yet the finished article, so it is unfair to be expecting him to perform week in, week out, and Zirkzee could be an ideal figure to come in and provide stiff competition for him, paving the way for Anthony Martial to leave next summer in the process.

وبهذه النتيجة، يتأهل الشرطة الكيني لمواجهة نادي الزمالك في الدور التمهيدي الثاني للبطولة.
