Last summer, Leicester City paid the price for failing to adequately act in the transfer market.

The 2016 Premier League champions failed to replace Kasper Schmeichel or Wesley Fofana, spending just a measly £15m on Wout Faes.

Maurizio Viscidi, Italy’s National Youth Team Coordinator, has observed Casadei’s endearing from the U16s to the U19s, praising his hugely unique talent, saying:

“He’s been the one with the greatest aptitude for attacking runs and goalscoring. And he’s also strong in the air, something that’s unusual among younger players. Given his ability to enter and give a presence in the area he’s the strongest player currently within the Azzurri’s youth sector.”

Leicester have truly got their hands on a rising star, who can excel in the Championship alongside the effervescent and improving Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The Englishman made his breakthrough into the senior side in 2021 and has featured in 60 of the club’s last 79 league games.

His latest performance for the Foxes in their 2-1 comeback victory over Coventry City on the opening day of the Championship season was an absolute clinic of accomplished, all-round midfield play.

The 24-year-old maestro scored both goals, made three key passes, registered five accurate long balls, won 80% of his duels, and recorded two tackles, as per Sofascore.

Coventry manager Mark Robins subsequently felt that Dewsbury-Hall would be “one of the best players at this level" this season.

Therefore, having Casadei and Dewsbury-Hall in midfield – two indomitable workhorses with a potent eye for goal – is a formidable prospect that could easily elevate the Foxes back to where there they belong.

Robin Uthappa has joined Saurashtra as a professional for the 2017-18 season, ending his 15-year association with Karnataka. Crystal Palace have sent scouts to watch Bristol City forward Sam Bell live in action and a new report has indicated whether he’s likely to be on the move this summer having attracted interest from five potential suitors.

Who is Sam Bell?

Bell is primarily a left-winger who has graduated from the academy to become a regular feature of the first team at Ashton Gate having made a total of 42 senior appearances to date, but there’s a chance that he could be on the move before the end of the ongoing window having begun to make a real name for himself.

The Robins’ youth product still has another two years to run on his contract with Nigel Pearson’s side, but having continued his impressive form from last season into the new second-tier campaign by ranking as their top-performing player during last weekend’s opening game of the term, he’s caught the eye of Roy Hodgson in SE25.

The Eagles will be in the market to find a suitable replacement for Wilfried Zaha, who of course left the club to join Galatasaray last month, and despite not having any experience in the Premier League which is usually a factor that would come into consideration, the 21-year-old appears to have been identified as an ideal candidate.

According to TEAMtalk, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers all had club chiefs “present” at Bristol’s 1-1 draw against Preston on Saturday to assess Bell's performance.

Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers are also “admirers” of the youngster and could hold an advantage over the other potential suitors with Champions League football on offer at Ibrox, and similarly the Seagulls have qualified for the Europa League.

However, whilst City are “aware of the widespread interest”, they are “likely to move” quickly to get their prized asset to sign a new deal in a bid to fend off any attention, which will include a significant pay rise.

Since the start of his career, Bell has clocked up ten goal contributions (seven goals and three assists) in 42 senior appearances, including when he found the back of the net vs Preston last weekend, so should he put pen to paper, the attacker would be a hugely exciting signing for the long-term future of Crystal Palace.

Who will West Ham sign?

The possible departure of Lucas Paqueta to English champions Man City would leave a gaping hole in quality for manager David Moyes, thus prompting the east Londoners to scour the market for replacements.

Paqueta is thought to have agreed terms with Pep Guardiola's side and really wants a move to Eastlands, so despite the signings of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez, another midfield signing is possible.

West Ham have been linked with a few already, including Man United's Scott McTominay and Burnley star Josh Brownhill, but Paqueta's quality will be truly hard to replace.

Speaking on the Brazil international's potential move to Manchester, Moyes recently confirmed that City had made an initial bid that fell way short of their valuation.

He said: "We've had an offer from Manchester City [for Paqueta] but at the moment it's not anywhere near meeting our valuation."

If West Ham find a full agreement to sell Paqueta, one player who has now attracted their interest is Amrabat, who funnily enough is a target for Man United.

The Moroccan, who seriously impressed during his country's exceptional World Cup campaign in Qatar last year, has apparently been subject to an "interesting" West Ham bid.

That is according to fiorentina.it, who claim the Irons have come forward with an offer, but it doesn't exactly meet La Viola's demands for a full sale.

Man United, though, are described as even further away to signing Amrabat, with it looking like the Irons have a small advantage over them in that respect, though the midfielder would prefer Old Trafford.

West Ham and United are listed as the two main teams in the running for Amrabat, but Moyes' side will have to raise their bid if a deal is to be done.

How good is Sofyan Amrabat?

Moroccan journalist Amine El Amri, speaking to talkSPORT during Amrabat's impressive Morocco performances in Qatar, tipped the African to join an English club.

El Amri highlighted the player's quality, calling him a "raging bull" and "fantastic" alongside his brother, Nordin.

"I think there's a big chance that he might go there [the Premier League]," El Amri said in December 2022.

"But everybody will have to wait until the summer because Fiorentina don't seem to want to sell in the next couple of weeks.

"I have nothing but respect for guys like Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic and Rodrigo De Paul and many others but I think he's been absolutely the best player in midfield in this World Cup."

The 26-year-old still has time on his hands and we believe his tenacity in midfield would be welcomed by Moyes at the London Stadium.
